There is just something so special about apple orchards in the fall. The way the golden hour light shines through the trees and bounces off the leaves and apples is magical. Whenever I would drive by this apple orchard (Nieman’s Market in Cedarburg for inquiring minds) I would envision running through the rows in a flowy dress and picking apples as I went along. I will never get tired of seeing a vision come to life - a mere idea becoming something tangible.
This dress by Misa Los Angeles was stunning and absolutely so much fun to wear. I felt like a flamenco dancer cowgirl out West getting ready for the rodeo but needed to pick apples for the apple pie I was baking for dessert! The caramel leather accessories played off the reds of the dress perfectly just like a caramel apple. I just got this hat last month and I love it. I feel like Kyle at Kemo Sabe whenever I wear it!
I highly recommend throwing on your favorite outfit and snapping some pictures in an apple orchard. Sure it may be a fall cliche but it was so much fun and I promise the photos will turn out stunning! A huge thank you to Dominika, my wonderfully, talented photographer I have been working with for the blog. She has been an absolute joy and pleasure to work with and makes the whole experience fun. There have been a couple of times where I was having a tough day and showed up to my shoot with Dom and instantly felt better once we started shooting. Her two young daughters were behind the scenes of this shoot in the apple orchard and they brightened my entire day. They were so funny and silly and carefree. Hearing what their imaginations dreamed up was my favorite part. We may or may not snapped some slow mo running pictures together that we all got a good laugh out of!
So thank you to Dom for all your talent and hard work and for always brightening my day! Find people who share your vision and fill your cup up instead of dragging you down. Life is too short. Do what you love and be surrounded by good people.
