This time of year i.e. fashion month always makes me long for the city. There’s something so crisp and refreshing about strutting through the city streets as the autumnal air surrounds you. I love New York in the fall. I love Chicago in the fall. I love Milwaukee in the fall. Do I dare to say I love fall!? As cliched as it sounds, F. Scott Fitzgerald had it right when he said life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall. Fall fashion is simply THE best fashion.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it into a city to shoot this look but I still wanted to emulate the look and vibe so I did the best I could up in the suburbs! This look was inspired by an outfit that lives rent free in my head worn by Emma Stone at a Louis Vuitton fashion show a couple years ago. She donned a flowy dress with a structured, belted blazer and knee high boots. It was chef’s kiss!

As I have mentioned previously, I love a good high low moment and this look proves it yet again. Even though the dress is from Shein (honestly it is great quality!), the leather accessories and blazer help elevate the look. I’m usually not huge on the color purple but I thought this print was fun and versatile.

So here’s to the end of fashion month and the beginning of fall fashion! I am here for it!
