Happy August! Fellow Swifties will understand the significance of the month of August. What a magical month it is! It’s the crescendo of summer. It’s part of the Folklore love triangle. It’s the last summer vacation. It’s my husband’s birthday month. It’s the cherry on top of summer.

August is bittersweet because it is the end of summer but also has some of the most glorious days weather and adventure wise. We always take a week long vacation up to Door County as our farewell to summer trip and we all look forward to it every year. It is the perfect way to close out the summer.

I’ve been enjoying purchasing more classic, timeless wardrobe pieces and finding different ways to style them. I have been very inspired by Meghan Donovan of Wit and Whimsy lately. She has the most beautiful, classic, and timeless wardrobe that she effortlessly styles year after year. There really is something to be said for investment pieces. This black linen dress has quickly become one of my favorite pieces this summer. There is a darling cutout and bow detail on the side of the bodice that I failed to capture; however, I am confident this won’t be the last time I will share this dress!

This summer felt like it flew by more quickly than usual. I’m brainstorming the items I still have left on my summer bucket list that I want to squeeze in before Labor Day. I feel like I always want to squeeze as much as possible out of summer because it is such a fleeting season. Here’s to making the most of August!
