SUMMER LOVE

The swift passage of summertime should be criminal. It will be August in a couple of days which reinforces the notion that time is indeed a thief. We wait all year long for summer and it goes by way too quickly every year. One of the best parts of summer is that everything is in bloom. It is so refreshing to see all the vegetation lush and green after a cold, barren winter. Hydrangeas are one of the best flowers during the summer because of how full and happy they are. They instantly make every building look more beautiful. This white Swiss dot midi dress felt like the sartorial embodiment of a hydrangea to me. It has lovely movement and instantly makes you feel happy the second you put it on. It would be easy to think this is a Hill House Nap dress; however, this was a Marshall’s find from a couple of weeks back. I’ve had my eye on a Hill House Nap dress for a while now and was so happy to find this look alike so I could test it out and make sure I loved it before I would invest in the Nap dress. Spoiler alert - It does in fact live up to the hype! I definitely plan on adding more of these dresses to my wardrobe in the future. I’m looking forward to sharing more summer looks leading up to our Door County trip which will be our final hurrah before summer is over. Until then, stay cool!
